Have you ever wondered what it would feel like to dine in the wild with some adorable animals? Well, you can make it a reality as Singapore Zoo’s Breakfast in the Wild! The iconic breakfast program isn’t new to many, but they’ve added two new animal ambassadors – which makes the experience more fun for everyone.
If you’re unfamiliar with the concept, here’s what to expect: you’ll get to savor a hearty meal of local and international flavors in a charming rainforest zoo setting, while you meet wildlife ambassadors like orangutan, green iguana, fennec fox, and more, along with their keepers. The interactive breakfast lasts from 9 AM to 10:30 AM, but the animals’ appearance is only between 9:15 AM and 10 AM. For tickets and other details, check here.
One more thing to look forward to is the “Backstage Pass: Elephant Encounters,” where you will go beyond the regular visitor experience! With the pass, you can get to know the five female Asian elephants in the zoo. The whole experience will be guided by an expert teaching guests about the interesting characteristics of the gentle giants and how they are being cared for.
Right after, you will venture into an off-exhibit area and come face-to-trunk with them while getting a first-hand glimpse into the care routines that help ensure their well-being. And if you’re lucky enough, then you might get selected for a chance to get a feel of the ears of these cutie patooties!
The last part of the tour would be feeding them their favorite treats a.k.a. carrots and bananas, while learning fascinating facts about the herd and interacting with their keepers. This experience will be available daily starting Aug. 9! Find out more about it here.
