The Warehouse Lobby Bar, one of Singapore’s most historic bars known for its hedonistic concept, is set to dazzle cocktail lovers in the city with the launch of its new innovative cocktail menu.
The new cocktails, categorized into four flavor profiles, are inspired by the region’s vibrant culture and signature spices. These are Herbaceous, made with fresh aromatic botanicals; Spiced, an homage to The Warehouse’s spice-laden past; Fruity, which boasts bright tropical flavors; and Bold, made with unique combinations.
The White Horse cocktail (S$26++), infused with an Herbaceous flavor profile, is named after the sons of Singapore's elite. It features a marriage of Veritas rum, Oloroso sherry, coconut, pandan, oolong tea, and lemon, crafted using a milk punch technique to give it a smooth and creamy texture.
Another cocktail in the Herbaceous profile is the Tiki Katong cocktail (S$26++). An ode to Katong’s iconic laksa dish, this cocktail is a combination of ABA Pisco, El Dorado 8, Cointreau, lime, and the flavors of laksa leaf and peanut.
Meanwhile, the Fruity flavor features two cocktails. One of them is Banana Money (S$26++), inspired by bananas, a major cash crop in 20th-century Singapore. This cocktail is made with Teelings Irish Whisky and banana juice, infused with Amaro Lucano, absinthe, and chocolate bitters.
The Watermelon Fizz (S$24++), on the other hand, is inspired by a 19th-century painting in the Lord Farquhar Collection of Natural History Drawings, which depicts the migration of watermelons from Africa to China and Southeast Asia. It offers a unique take on the classic Gin Fizz, made with a combination of Beefeater Gin, watermelon, coconut water, bitters, salt, and soda.
Representing the Spiced flavor is The Warehouse Martini (S$26++). Made with a blend of Chiu Long Gin, Hapusa Gin, Baldora Dry, Shao Hsing Wine, and sea grapes, this cocktail reminds us of Singapore’s vibrant seaports from then to now.
Lastly, Jack’s Gamble (S$27++) features a Bold flavor with its High West Bourbon, Campari, Baldoria Rosso, and Bianco Bitter blend. It is elevated with cold-pressed jackfruit juice, which honors the fruit’s medicinal and cultural impact back in the ancient eras.
Aside from these cocktails, guests can also indulge in the revamped The Warehouse Lobby Bar’s selection of fine wines, Asian craft beers, and spirits, as well as mod-Sin bar snacks, a thrilling DJ lineup, and guest bartender shifts in the coming months.
