Another Filipina glamazon is set to make big waves on the global stage, as popular Marikina-based drag queen Eva Le Queen will be joining the inaugural season of "RuPaul’s Drag Race" franchise, “Global All Stars!”
The “Drag Race Philippines” Season 1 finalist will be joined by 11 other queens from Drag Race spin-offs from various parts of the world.
“I can finally say it out loud. Let’s go GLOBAL DOMIN-ASIAN," she said in a social media post.
In the promotional images and videos, the drag queen is seen wearing a Philippine flag-inspired ensemble featuring a head-turning sun-shaped crown, a star-shaped barbell, and a red, blue, and gold-hued bedazzled long gown.
Premiering next month, the show will feature Eva Le Queen, the United States’ Alyssa Edwards, Belgium’s Athena Likis, Mexico’s Gala Varo, the United Kingdom’s Kitty Scott-Claus, Australia’s Kween Kong, Brazil’s Miranda Lebrão, Italy’s Nehellenia, Canada’s Pythia, France’s Soa de Muse, Germany’s Tessa Testicle, and Sweden’s Vanity Vain as contestants.
This makes Eva Le Queen the show’s sole representative from Asia.
Earlier this year, Eva’s co-"Drag Race Philippines” Season 1 alumna Marina Summers also represented the country on the second season of “RuPaul's Drag Race UK vs. the World,” where she finished in fourth place on the said show.
