Whether it would just be to pass the time or to check out what new titles they had, Booksale was always there, in a corner of the mall that's recognizable from its bold, white letters enclosed in green boxes.
They have all kinds of books, from new and secondhand books to magazines and rare finds — all at affordable prices. It's a treasure trove filled with curiosities, knowledge, and everything a bookworm could ever want.
35 years in the business is no joke, and with currently over 91 stores nationwide and patrons all around the country, Booksale has maintained a steady pace in making reading affordable for everyone, with prices as low as P10!
But now, Booksale has something else in store.
Josh Sison, the CEO of Booksale, recently released a statement on Booksale's Facebook page, expressing their gratitude to their customers. Apart from this, they hinted at having bigger plans in the future — including the closure of some of their branches.
The news received heartwarming responses from all of their patrons. Soon after, Booksale's comment section was filled with stories of how peoples' love for reading and writing started from trips to Booksale. Others recounted how Booksale was an important part of their childhood and their sanctuary from all of life's hardships.
What they say about "good things coming to an end" isn't always true; sometimes they just have to keep moving forward and look at the bigger picture. Booksale will always be a part of Filipinos' lives, and with their newest chapter, they'll surely keep all kinds of books affordable for everyone.
