In a recent announcement, the energy distributor unveiled that brand new initiatives have been launched, including the opening of electric vehicle (EV) charging stations in selected McDonald's branches and its Green & Good flagship stores. This allows e-bike and e-scooter users to charge their vehicles with minimal fees through these coin-operated stations.

The charging stations are powered by Movem Electric, Meralco’s electric mobility solutions subsidiary.

Moreover, Meralco is also gearing up to install solar panels and other energy-efficient technologies at McDonald's Petron KM44 and Pagsanjan locations in Laguna.

“Our relationship with the Meralco group has been long-standing and I look forward to many more years with them as partners as we work towards a greener and brighter future," said Kenneth Yang, president and CEO of McDonald’s Philippines.

Green & Good is McDonald’s Philippines’ line of flagship stores that use sustainable and eco-friendly practices in their operations. These stores are located in Nuvali Santa Rosa, U.N. Del Pilar in Manila, Ayala Cresendo in Tarlac, Canlalay, Biñan in Laguna, and Mambugan in Antipolo, among other branches.
