Hey Marvel fans, you’ve probably heard about the upcoming reboot of the Fantastic Four film. Now that it’s confirmed, we’re sharing some of the juicy details you should know what to expect on the big screen!
If you’ve seen Marvel Studios’ Instagram post about Fantastic Four last Valentine's Day, you probably might have guessed that it is set in the 1960s – and you’re correct! Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige confirmed this fact recently, along with a revelation that it will take place in “New York City.” Oh, and he hinted that it might not be the one we are familiar with (maybe an alternate universe?)!
“There were a lot of smart people who noticed that that cityscape didn’t look exactly like the New York that we know or the New York that existed in the 60s in our world. Those are smart observations, I’ll say…” shared Feiger in The Official Marvel Podcast.
As for the cast, Pedro Pascal will act as the leader of the superhero group. He will be Reed Richards a.k.a. Mr. Fantastic, who is a genius and can stretch his body into almost any shape and size. Meanwhile, Vanessa Kirby will take the role of Susan Storm a.k.a. Invisible Woman, whose power is to turn anything else invisible and create invisible objects around her that can be used as weapons or shields.
Johnny Storm a.k.a. Human Torch’s character will be played by Joseph Quinn, whose powers include having complete control over fire and flying. Ebon Moss-Bachrach has been cast to play Benjamin Grimm a.k.a. Thing, who can turn into a rock monster with unbelievable physical strength.
If you’re curious about the villains, well, the team will fight against Galactus, Doctor Doom, and maybe more. More details have not been confirmed yet, so keep your eyes peeled! The movie is set to hit the theatres on July 25, 2025, while the filming will begin in July this year. Follow Fantastic Four’s official Instagram for more updates.
