You’d want to be in the room where it happens, Pinoy theater fans! Hamilton’s creative team just announced the full company of the show’s international tour, which includes our very own Rachelle Ann Go.
The actress is reprising her role as Eliza Schuyler-Hamilton, which she first played in Hamilton’s West End production. As previously announced, Go will act opposite Jason Arrow, who will play Alexander Hamilton. Arrow is part of the Australian cast of Hamilton, and he has performed the role in shows in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Auckland.
According to a post on Theater Fans Manila, the rest of the cast is "drawn from productions all over the world, including Broadway, the North American Tours, London, Australia, and Germany." Other actors joining Go and Arrow when Hamilton premieres in Manila on Sept. 17 are Akina Edmonds as Angelica Schuyler, DeAundre’ Woods as Aaron Burr, David Park as Marquis de Lafayette/Thomas Jefferson, and Darnell Abraham as George Washington.
The international tour of Hamilton begins in Manila at The Theatre at Solaire, and the shows will run from Sept. 17 to Nov. 26, 2023. Hamilton won 11 awards at the 70th Tony Awards held in 2016. After its run in Manila, the musical is scheduled to premiere in the Middle East.
