Immerse yourself in an elegant living canvas at The Peninsula Hong Kong! The hotel's "Art in Resonance" Program 2025 has transformed the façade, lobby, and The Verandah into a captivating multi-sensory art experience.

Launched during Hong Kong Art Week and running through May, the showcase features three large-scale commissioned works by leading contemporary artists.

On the hotel’s façade, Hong Kong multimedia artist Phoebe Hui’s "Lunar Rainbow" makes an impressive celestial splash. Dangling from the top of the hotel's facade, this monumental, 56-square-meter installation is Phoebe's largest artwork to date.

The installation features fragmented moon images laser-printed on 49 pieces of plate aluminum, creating a shimmering, otherworldly effect that looks particularly spectacular when lit up at night.

Inside the lobby, guests will be greeted by Shanghai-based textile artist Lin Fanglu presents "She’s Bestowed Love." Curated by V&A’s Curator of the Asia Department Dr. Xiaoxin Li, the vibrant red, sculptural forms celebrate feminine strength and draw from Yunnan's Bai minority textile traditions.

The work will later travel to London’s V&A South Kensington as the centerpiece of the year-long "Dimensions: Chinese Contemporary StudioCrafts" exhibition in autumn 2025.

At The Verandah, new media artist Chris Cheung (also known as h0nh1m) debuted "The Flow Pavilion," a contemporary tea house-inspired installation created with Tai Ping.Visitors will be instantly calmed and transported into a "Flow State" while observing a black kinetic sphere gliding across a hand-tufted silk carpet.

This compelling meditative installation fuses ancient mindfulness practices with cutting-edge technology, utilizing the artist's brainwave recordings from serene meditative sessions in Kyoto to power the sphere.

For a multi-sensory experience, visitors can enjoy an Art in Resonance-inspired Afternoon Tea at TheLobby, with pastries modeled after the featured artworks — think chocolate bonbons and cookies shaped like the installations — alongside matcha mochi and Sencha green tea at The Verandah.
