Let’s step away from the traffic and into a space where the sunsoaked city feels softer, rhythm hits loud, and coffee scents surround. This August 2025 at Hysan Place in Causeway Bay, indulge in a multi-sensory celebration of curiosity, joy, and the art of slowing down with their summer events campaign: hy! & Seek.

From inflatable installations to rooftop dance parties and live podcasts, the campaign is an urban delight that pulses through the neighborhood.

Thai artist Wisut Ponnimit’s beloved cartoon character Mamuang, lounging in oversized inflatable form, sets the tone at Urban Park and invites passersby to pause and reflect, with his feline sidekick Healing Cat never far behind.

Indoors, Seek The Scent offers a multi-sensoryexhibit on Hysan Place’s fourth floor, where newly commissioned artworks meets curated fragrances from Chloé, L’Artisan Parfumeur, and indie label SopranoLabs.

The beats, though, are far from subtle. July 27 marked the first episode of the hy! & Seek Block Party, organized by G Magazine HK, where G-Dragon’s official DJ Kingmck, along with Subez, Phgoverment, and Adipta, threw down a genre-defying mix. “It’s crazy because it brings people who normally wouldn’t listen to this type of music,” the London-based DJ Phgoverment said, capturing the event’s expansive cultural reach.

With its first success, anticipation builds toward the second round on Aug. 16, 2025 from 4 PM, where B2B DJ sessions will see 10 DJs, including CHWVIN from Seoul, Subez, the duo from S2, Just Bee, Mengzy, and more.

For those who prefer a quieter groove, “GROOFEE CORNER” brought rhythm to daylight on July 26 and Aug. 9,  infusing hand-dripped coffee with genre-hopping DJ sets across with local underground DJs like Adrianna and Rainbow333.The final round will conclude the event on Aug. 23, with other DJs Shelf-Index, Xylon, and Alok in control of the tunes. Just show up with an open ear and curious spirit, and you’ll find yourself vibing with the beats in a whole new way.

hy! & Seek is also offered an opportunity to those who prefer their inspiration spoken rather than spun with Culture Insiders’ live podcast series, SAY hy! PODCAST, rounding things out with in-the-moment conversations on sneakers, food, dance culture and basically what makes Hong Kong unique.

Taking place at Hysan Place's Urban Sky, the Cantonese-only series saw SoleAddictt and rapper MasterMic on sneaker-related topics, the founders of How To Live Well and Ho Ming Kee on food culture, while two of the city's best dancers, Bobby and Tsoul, elaborated their thoughts on the local dance scene. Check out the first episode for insights about sneakers on YouTube here.

From inflatable joy to rooftop rhythms, hy! & Seek is a celebration of urban softness, energy, and imagination.
